My early felt works were inspired by my love of trees. I thought about trees rooted in the same place for decades suffering the indignities of pollution and chainsaws. So I gave them legs and voices to discuss their environment and their feelings, to protest and to run from a bad habitat. I donated several trees for fundraising purposes.
The new line of trees highlights the beneficial features of trees in cleaning the air, providing safe havens, and off-gassing beneficial chemicals.
The four Trees in Bloom series use dried flowers and Japanese fibres to create a delicate yet resiliant tree.
