Erlenmeyer Imposters - for discerning women in science

The classic Erlenmeyer flask, designed in 1861 by a man, epitomizes the scientist cooking up miracles in the lab. As a tribute to the many overlooked women in science I have designed a series of bold felted flasks wrapped in silk images of wonderous things you find in the lab - fungi, slime mold, lichens - well you tell me what else I could add. One I call the Lady Erlenmeyer is wrapped in silk images of my science field notes from 1986 and data from the third wave of COVID-19 in Toronto. The flasks send a message - we are here to stay - rigorous, determined and highly visible. Click on image for descriptions and sizing. Prices range from $300 to $450. Unique hand crafted felted items with a special stir stick to whiz around. Some have clusters of french knots dotted about.
